The Bunny Bowling Pin

I made a new creation that I wanted to share with you.  So I've had these bowling pins sitting in my shop forever.  I keep trying to make things out of them but they just weren't quite right.  Didn't give me that happy feeling I was looking for.  But last week, for some reason, this bunny came together!  Whoo Hooo!!!!  I gave it to my daughter and she loves it.  Now I have to mention, this bunny isn't as toddler friendly as the bowling balls.  It has a pearl necklace and wire whiskers so it's more of a "look cute thing"  than a "play thing".  I am currently making them in an assortment of colors and I just love going into my shop right now.  Makes me smile every time!  I will have them available on my website and have them at shows this season for those of you who would like one!  I will also post more pictures of them so you can get a look at them better and the assortment of colors they will be available in.  Take care and hope you get time to enjoy this sunny Friday!  -Claire

Kids Play Kitchen Update

I had posted quite a long time ago about a reused entertainment center that I was turning into a Play Kitchen for my daughter.
Well, I just wanted to let you know that I finished it (or mostly) and Karlee absolutely LOVES it!
I have it out in my shop were I work and she plays with that thing for hours!
It totally reminds me of when I was little and used to play with this old style stove and I would be content for hours on end.  Making pretend food and mixing up new ideas.
So if you are looking for a simple project, this is a good one.
I have to say though, between paint and second hand items purchased for her to play with, it probably cost me about $75.00.  Not a bargain by any means, but it will get a lot of use.
Oh, I also wanted to point out, I found this picture at the Rainier Thrift Shop for a $1.00.  It says Robert 1960.  I just love that some parent back in the day framed this and put it on their wall.  So to those parents and Robert, thank you for this beautiful picture.  It has made me smile so many times already.
Take care,
Claire

Crayola Inspiration

So we opened our new Crayola Finger Paints so that Karlee could work on her ball wile I painted mine and I just loved the new blue that they had!  So much that I went to Home Depot and color matched it so that I could paint some ladybugs and see how they "pop" in the garden.
So far I'm really liking this color!  It just makes me smile.
Once I complete one, I will post it on my blog as an item for purchase.
I'll try to get some really good pics so that you can see how pretty this blue is.
Take care and hope your day is good.

Outdoor Doll House

Today was a beautiful day!
Thank you mother nature for the bit of sun.  We so miss it!
So with the weather changing, it got me to thinking about my garden again.
My daughter loves being in the garden and I want to keep that interest by bringing new ideas that she can use and enjoy wile she's outside.
So one of my friends told me about Fairy Houses.  Really cool idea, you should check this site out if you get the time.
http://www.fairyhouses.com/about-fairy-houses/
So that is were this last inspiration came from.
This isn't exactly a fairy house, but I stuck to the idea.  Using already fallen branches and having the house blend with its surroundings.
It was really hard to get a picture of this, but I used branches from my brothers trimmed fruit trees, twine, old shingles for the flooring and lots of hot glue!
It is three stories tall and I think I'm going to set it at the end of my peas so that they can grow up the house and add some color to it!
My daughter has already enjoyed getting her little toys out and playing in its little rooms!
Hope you enjoyed this beautiful day.
I'm looking forward to Spring this year!
Take care,
Claire
